ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — A 17-year-old and 20-year-old are in the hospital after being shot in separate areas of western Rochester overnight on Saturday. To the east, a home with people inside was struck by gunfire on Saturday morning.

The Rochester Police Department said that both of the men with gunshot wounds are expected to survive. No one was injured in the shooting at the home.

Rochester police responded to the first report of a man shot around 11 p.m. on Friday, at Columbia Avenue near Genesee Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that a private vehicle had taken the 20-year-old victim, who was shot at least once in the upper body, to Strong Hospital.

The second call for a man shot came around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound to the upper body in his car near Silver Street and Dengler Street. An ambulance took the teen to Strong Hospital, where he’s currently being treated. RPD said they found that the victim’s car had been struck by gunfire.

At 3:15 a.m., RPD also responded to reports of shots fired at Grand Avenue near Stout Street. They found evidence of several shots fired in the area, with at least one bullet striking an occupied home.

There are no suspects in custody for any of the three shootings, but police are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
