Occupied vehicle struck by gunfire near Cobbs Hill Park

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police say an occupied vehicle was hit by gunfire near a family gathering at the Tay House Lodge near Cobbs Hill Park.

The 911 caller reported at 9 p.m. that it was an active shooter situation and that people were running everywhere, but police say when officers arrived, they found that was not the case.

Instead, they found evidence that shots were fired and that an occupied vehicle was struck.

Police say thankfully, no people were actually struck by bullets, but it could have potentially happened.
