RIT holds commencement ceremony

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — It’s graduation day for thousands of college seniors in our area.

The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) held its commencement ceremony in person Friday morning at the Gordon Field House.

More than 4,300 students received their bachelor’s, master’s, or PhDs.

RIT also awarded four honorary doctorate degrees.

One went to the president of Ukraine,-Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for his bravery and leadership during the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Students at St. John Fisher College’s Schools of Business, Education and Pharmacy will walk the stage on Saturday and at Roberts Wesleyan, 581 undergraduate students will celebrate their commencement.
