ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A film crafted by Rochester students got the top prize at the 2022 Rochester Teen Film Festival.
On Thursday night, the mother of Philip Seymour Hoffman presented them with the "Philip Seymour Hoffman Best of Festival Award."
These talented teens were able to show their film "The Unattainable Dream" at the festival at the Little Theater.
The film was one of 10 finalists selected from entries across the country.
The film doesn’t just scratch the surface—the documentary dives into governmental and societal oppression elements. Edison Tech students conducted interviews with local experts, produced, and put together the final, incredible product.
The film’s production was part of a project that aligned the district’s career and technology education curriculum to core subjects.
