Great NYS Fair to offer flash sale on tickets

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Great New York State Fair and its Midway partner, Wade Shows, are teaming up to offer a flash sale Thursday, August 4 from 4:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

In addition, Wade Shows is offering fairgoers an opportunity to score ride-all-day wristbands for just $20 each. The wristbands are valid any day, weekday or weekend, during the Great New York State Fair. When the Fair starts on August 24, the cost increases to $30 Monday through Friday, and $35 on Saturdays and Sundays.

To purchase a discounted wristband, fairgoers can click “Add to Cart” at this link, which is also accessible through the Great New York State Fair website’s Midway page. The deal will only be available for 20 hours.

“This is a great way for families who are planning ahead to get a great deal,” said Sean Hennessey, Interim Director of the Fair. “We know the Midway is a tradition for many New Yorkers, and we want to keep things as affordable as we can to make sure as many people as possible have access to the family fun we offer.”

The State Fair begins on Wednesday, August 24, and continues through Labor Day, Monday, September 5. Admission tickets – just $3 – are on sale now on the State Fair’s website.
