ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The city of Rochester held a meeting Tuesday night to discuss Phases 2 and 3 of the Roc City Skate park’s development, and to hear from the public.
The input gained from Tuesday night’s meeting will be used to put together a concept presentation for the city.
Once that’s approved, budget planning will begin and the working drawings will be crafted. That’s scheduled to happen this fall and winter, and construction will follow.
Tonight the design team took the public through some of its ideas for the skate feature expansion.
"Right now this is the area we currently have underneath the bridge and we’re going to connect that to this other area behind it. And adjacent to it. Right now we’re showing some ledges, maybe curves," said Kanten Russell, Roc City Skate Park designer.
The design meeting was virtual. For those that could not make it, there is a survey that is open from Aug 2-16. The survey can be found here.
