ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – There will be another sunny and pleasant start on Monday as sunshine continues to brighten up our skies.

Temperatures are also on the comfortable side in the morning but will begin to warm up this afternoon. Temperatures will be warmer than on Sunday.

Highs on Monday afternoon will reach the upper 80s under plenty of sunshine before a few clouds will bubble later. We will also begin to turn humid this afternoon as dew points climb into the mid 60s. Nothing oppressive, but definitely noticeable.

We really turn muggy on Monday night as dew points rise into the upper 60s. That will be thanks to a warm front that lifts through this evening, and then a cold front swinging through late tonight with a few showers. An isolated shower or storm is possible later in the evening, but a better chance for a shower or two will come at night.

There will be shower chances through Tuesday morning before slowly dropping in the afternoon. An isolated light shower is possible Tuesday afternoon, but no need to cancel any outdoor plans.

With the cold front swinging through, we will also see a drop in dew points and temperatures. Tuesday will feature highs in the upper 70 with comfortable conditions by the afternoon. So, enjoy tomorrow because the heat and humidity will ramp up for Wednesday and Thursday.

Highs on Wednesday will reach near 90 before the low 90s Thursday. We will be sticky on Thursday also which means it will feel warmer. Heat indices are still looking like the mid and upper 90s to near 100 at times.

Thankfully, a cold front will move in for Thursday night to give us some relief. An isolated shower or storm is possible Thursday afternoon, but a better chance for rain comes Thursday night and into Friday.

Uncertainty remains on how long the rain will last, and if it will linger into the weekend so stick with the First Alert Weather Team for continued updates!
