5 displaced by house fire in Charlotte

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Five people are were displaced Friday night after a fire broke out at their Charlotte home.

Crews responded to the fire on Alonzo Street just before 8:30 p.m.

Four adults and one child were able to make it out safely.

Firefighters believe the fire started outside and traveled up the back of the two-story house, all the way up to the attic.

The Red Cross is helping the family with temporary housing.
