Police release the names of two men who died in Lyell Avenue shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police have released the names of the two men killed in a triple shooting on Lyell Avenue between Warner and Austin street over the weekend.
City residents Jared Perry, 29, and Marquis Chambers, 31, both died at the scene. A woman in her 30s, who was shot in the chest, is hospitalized in stable condition and is expected to survive.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived, they heard people screaming at a home on Lyell Avenue and found the three gunshot victims. Witnesses say they say a man running from that address after they heard the shots fired.
Currently, no suspects are in custody. The RPD Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
