ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — If you loved the sunshine on Thursday, but weren’t a fan of the cool, crisp air, you’ll like the end of the week, and especially weekend!

High pressure remains planted firmly overhead straight into the weekend. This ensures us more sunny days and starlit nights. Friday should be a carbon copy of Thursday, but highs make their way back into the mid-50s. Much of the same Saturday, but a few degrees warmer, bumping us into the upper 50s. Sunday will finally make it into the 60s, but it’ll come with a little more cloud cover, especially by afternoon and evening. Our next chance of rain doesn’t come until Sunday evening and overnight. So, we’ll get to enjoy the majority of the weekend with dry and warming air.

Monday will start off with some showers, with some clearing by the afternoon. A stronger area of low pressure moves in on Tuesday, drawing in some warmer air, but also leading to another round of scattered showers, maybe a rumble of afternoon thunder. Highs on Tuesday should reach into the 70s, then fall back into the 60s and 50s for the middle and end of next week.
