ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester City School District is bringing in therapy dogs to help address students’ mental health.

Therapy Dogs International is helping the School of the Arts (SOTA) and Roc Dog visits Northeast College Preparatory High School.

The dogs are practically members of their counseling teams.

On Thursday, SOTA is inviting News10NBC in to meet the four-legged friends from Therapy Dogs International.

RCSD said this is a unique way for students to get social-emotional learning in a healthy, positive, and meaningful way.
