NYSP: Gun and fentanyl found after chase; Two Rochester teens charged
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two Rochester teens are facing charges after New York State Troopers say they recovered a handgun, cocaine, and fentanyl following a chase.
News10NBC covered the chase when it happened on Wednesday afternoon. The chase started just after 5:30 p.m. and ended on Ferncliff Drive near Northland Avenue in the city. The car entered a yard, hitting a fence and then the curb.
Troopers arrested 19-year-old Angel Lugo and a 15-year-old after the chase. State Police say they found 24 grams of cocaine along with 28 grams of fentanyl, which is enough for 14,000 fatal doses.
Both teens were charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance. In addition, Lugo was charged with reckless endangerment and unlawful fleeing a police officer. Lugo was taken to the Monroe County Jail and the 15-year-old was taken to the county’s juvenile detention center.
