Community raises over $4K for Holley teen who saved man’s life

HOLLEY, N.Y. — A high school senior who saved a man’s life while working at a Subway in Brockport is seeing her good deed paying off.

Community members raised over $4,000 through a GoFundMe page for Leigha Walker, an 18-year-old Holley student who performed CPR on a man after he had a heart attack and crashed his truck near Subway.

The GoFundMe, which goes toward helping Walker buy her horse before she goes off to college in the fall, has reached its goal. Walker was working three jobs for the past few years trying to save enough money to buy her horse.

Walker learned CPR from school.
