Man killed in West Main shooting identified

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police have identified the man who was killed in a shooting Sunday night on the city’s Westside.

Rochester Police said they received a call at 11:15 p.m. for a man shot on West Main Street near Canal Street. They rushed out and found the victim dead at the scene in a parking lot by the nightclub, Minq Lounge.

Police have identified the man as 32-year-old Omar Hughley.

This is Rochester’s 22 homicide of the year, according to the RPD Open Data Portal.

No suspects are in custody and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
