ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A slow moving warm front and low pressure system will drift across Western New York over the next 36 hours.  As a result, unsettled weather will continue for the start of the week.  This includes occasional showers and thunderstorms with noticeably higher amounts of humidity. Our weather will feel more tropical at times until this low pressure system exits the region during Tuesday morning.

This evening will bring passing showers and thunderstorms. Then any thundershowers should begin to taper off for the remainder of the overnight.  Expect lots of humidity with the low temperature in the middle 60s.  Monday look for breaks of sunshine for the morning, then passing showers and thunderstorms returning for the afternoon.  Expect a little less heat, but still plenty of humidity with the high temperature near 79 degrees.  Monday night and early Tuesday will bring a few more showers and thundershowers, but skies will begin to clear for Tuesday afternoon.  The humidity will begin to fall with the high temperature in the upper 70s.

The big improvement with arrive Wednesday and most of Thursday with mostly sunny skies and comfortable conditions.  The high temperature will be in the low to middle 80s. Friday could bring a morning shower, otherwise more sunshine and a high temperature in the upper 70s.

Looking ahead to the weekend and early next week, the heat should be returning to Rochester.  Early indications are that the temperature could be within a few degrees of 90 for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
