Drivers can expect single-lane closures on I-490 in Perinton through August

PERINTON, N.Y. (WHEC) — The NY State Department of Transportation said drivers can expect delays because of single-lane closures along Interstate 490 westbound, near Exit 26 in Perinton.

The closures for bridge repairs begin on Wednesday and continue through August. Double lane closures may be necessary at times. Exit 26 connecting I-490 westbound traffic to State Route 31 will remain open.

The existing lane shifts on the bridge carrying State Route 31 over I-490 will remain in place as work progresses. The DOT said drivers traveling through this corridor should remain alert to the work zone and exercise caution.
