IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — A man is accused of driving while impaired by drugs in a multi-vehicle crash in Irondequoit on Tuesday afternoon that damaged a New York State Police car.

The crash happened on Route 590 South at Route 104 East. Donald Natale, 59, of Rochester, is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, driving while intoxicated, and possession of a controlled substance in non-original container. He is also charged with reckless endangerment and traffic infractions.

The crash happened after a state trooper pulled over a white Chevy Tahoe on 590 South at 104 East. State Police say that’s when a black Dodge Ram truck, driven by Natalie, sideswiped the trooper’s car. The truck also slammed into the Chevy Tahoe, causing it to flip over.

Three people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Natale was issued appearance tickets for Irondequoit Town Court on July 22.
