First Alert Weather: Some rain and cooler air return
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Our spectacular stretch of comfortable, dry and sunny weather will begin to break down on Friday with the approach of a cold front.
Ahead of the front, temperatures should once again reach into the lower 80s with dry weather for much of the day. Clouds will tend to thicken up during the afternoon, with a few showers or even a thunderstorm knocking on our door by the evening. This front will stall out over the area into the overnight, leading to a period of rain Friday night and into the first part of Saturday.
The bad news is that the weekend will start wet. The good news is that the steadiest rain Saturday morning will move out, and transition over to some occasional rain showers, along with some breaks of sun during the afternoon. So, our weather will improve as the weekend goes on. If you have plans to go to the Bills home opener on Sunday, the weather should be just fine, although a little breezy. In fact, you may want to pack some sunscreen, as we should see a fair amount of it through the day. Temperatures this weekend will fall back into the lower to mid 60s both days.
Then we’re looking forward to another lovely stretch of comfortable, dry and sunny weather once again for much of next week. We’ll start the work week with temperatures in the lower 70s on Monday, but warm into the 80s by mid to late week.
