Genesee Community College student accused of bringing gun to campus

BATAVIA, N.Y. — A student at Genesee Community College is accused of bringing a loaded gun onto campus.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office told our Buffalo NBC affiliate that Anthony Parks had an unregistered pistol while in the College Village student housing at the Batavia campus on Sunday.

The sheriff says the gun was loaded with a high-capacity magazine. Parks is charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
