Final College Night is Thursday, bring universities to local malls
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Thursday is the final day of the College Nights series, giving high school seniors and adults an opportunity to learn more about higher education.
Throughout the week, Eastview Mall, The Mall at Greece Ridge, and Marketplace Mall are hosting between 65 and 75 schools for the annual Greater Rochester Area College Nights.
The Mall at Greece Ridge will host on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. The organizer says College Nights gives prospective students the opportunity to speak one-on-one about college options.
“I think they’re pretty happy that they get to talk one-on-one with maybe a college that they’ve been interested in and a college that they didn’t even think about. But now they’ve talked one-on-one and learned a little bit about it and now they’re considering that college, so, they’ve got options,” Organizer Barbara Years said.
According to the organizers, colleges from across the country have come to Rochester’s malls to connect with students for over 25 years. College Nights isn’t just open to students but also to adults interested in returning to school.
