ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rain and snow this morning is clearing and much of the afternoon will feature dry weather with perhaps a few breaks of sunshine. A stray shower is possible late in the afternoon with temps today in the 40s.

Easter Sunday will start on the frosty cold side with a few snow showers and temps in the 20s and 30s.

Some sunshine is expected tomorrow afternoon but it will be brisk and cold for any egg hunts, brunch and church services. More cold weather into the first half of next week with a potential storm in the northeast Monday night into Tuesday.

This will bring mainly cold rain to Rochester but some wet snow is possible in the higher elevations. After that system clears a noticeably warmer pattern will arrive for the following weekend.
