UPDATE: Man in surgery after being found shot on Seth Green Drive; no one in custody

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man was still in surgery for life-threatening injuries shortly after 9:30 p.m. Friday after being found shot nearly five hours earlier on Seth Green Drive.

Rochester Police responded to Seth Green Drive, near St. Paul Street, at about 4:45 p.m. for the report of shots heard and a person possibly shot. They found a 53-year-old man from Rochester who had at least one gunshot wound to both his upper and lower body. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.

The area of Seth Green Drive and St. Paul was shut down for several hours but has since been reopened.

Police said the circumstances leading up to shooting remain unknown and there is no one in custody. anyone with information is asked to call 911.
