Person treated for burns after apartment fire in Penfield

PENFIELD, N.Y. — An apartment fire in Penfield on Saturday night left one person with minor burns.
Emergency crews responded to Avalon apartments on Empire Boulevard around 7:40 p.m. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says crews helped rescue the one person inside the apartment.
Only one apartment was impacted by the fire. The cause of the fire is not yet clear but deputies do not suspect any criminal activity.
