ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) – For the second straight day, Buffalo Bills All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer practiced.
Poyer hyperextended his elbow during training camp on August 2 and has been rehabbing to get back on the field ever since.
So far, Poyer has only practiced in a red non-contact jersey. However, he believes he’s on track to be able to play when the Bills open the 2022 NFL season against the Los Angeles Rams.
“I expect to be out there, as long as there’s no setbacks. It feels really good right now, continuing to work every single day to try to get it to 100% for the first game,” said Poyer.
The Buffalo Bills secondary was as injured as any position group during training camp. Micah Hyde also sustained a brief injury during camp. Tre White has yet to practice this offseason as he’s working to get back to full strength after tearing his ACL last season on Thanksgiving.
Poyer has started at safety since coming to Buffalo in 2017.
