ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Three teenagers are accused of leading police from multiple agencies on a chase in a stolen luxury car throughout the city. The investigation started with a robbery at an Irondequoit convenience store.

News10NBC caught the chase on video on Tuesday night. The chase started around South Avenue. Our photojournalist was out at an unrelated scene but was tracking the chase on a police scanner. He then spotted Alfa Romeo zooming down Genesee Street.

Rochester Police, New York State Police, and Irondequoit Police were all chasing the sedan until it stopped on Frost Avenue near Jefferson Avenue. Rochester Police say the three teens inside the car tried to run away but officers managed to take them into custody one-by-one. Our photojournalist also saw a fourth teen taken into custody.

Rochester Police say the Alfa Romeo, stolen from the city a few days ago, was the getaway car in a robbery at Quicklee’s on Culver Road in Irondequoit. The robbery happened around 10:30 p.m. and RPD officers soon spotted the car in the city.

When officers tried to pull the car over, it sped off, starting the chase through the city’s southwest side. Multiple witnesses told our photojournalist that an officer was bitten by a dog and was taken to the hospital. We’re working to confirm that with police.

We’re still waiting to hear what charges these teens may be facing. We’ve reached out to the Irondequoit Police Department for details.
