LIVE UPDATE: Buffalo Bills top Jets 23-20, end losing skid

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WHEC) – The Buffalo Bills battled down the stretch to take down the New York Jets, 23 to 20.

Bills rookie running back Ray Davis led the rushing attack to give Buffalo the first touchdown of the game. The Kentucky product had seven carries for 52 yards in the first quarter, setting up Josh Allen for his 56th rushing TD of his career. He finished with 20 carries for 97 yards and another 55 yards through the air.

With eight seconds left in the half, that BAD MAN Aaron Rodgers launched a “Hail Mary” and Allen Lazard came down with it for the score before the half, pulling the Jets to within three.

Despite a quiet third quarter, Buffalo answered with a game-clinching field goal in the 4th quarter, enough to finish off New York and get to 4-2 on the season.

Allen finished with 215 passing yards and another 18 yards on the ground. He spread his passes out with Dalton Kincaid, Curtis Samuel, Keon Coleman, and Davis all catching at least three passes for 26+ yards.

Defensively, AJ Epenesa had a big game with a pair of sacks.

Both teams struggled with penalties, with Buffalo committing 11 for 94 yards and the Jets committing 11 for 110 yards.
