ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man was shot to death in northeast Rochester Tuesday night.

The 60-year-old man was killed on Bay Street near Sixth Street just before 5 p.m. Rochester Police say he was working on a vehicle in the driveway of his home when someone approached him and shot him several times.

Rochester Police responded and provided medical aid until he could be taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he died.

RPD’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating.

The man killed Tuesday night is the 45th person killed in Rochester this year. Anyone with information should call 911.
