School No. 19 reopens Friday after water main break on Reynolds Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Dr. Charles T. Lunsford School No. 19 has reopened on Friday after being closed on Thursday because of a water main break.

The break happened on Reynolds Street on the city’s southwest side and impacted water service to School No. 19 and 30 properties nearby. The Willie Walker Lightfoot R-Center was also closed on Thursday.

The district partnered with the Boys and Girls Club on Genesee Street on Thursday to give students at School 19 a grab-and-go breakfast and lunch.

Reynolds Street between Flint Street and Seward Street was closed in both directions for repairs but it has reopened.
