THIS WEEKEND: Three fall-themed festivals, Bills block party, and more

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Here’s your guide to events happening this weekend in the Rochester area. You can learn more about what’s happening around town on our Community Calendar.

Fall into Canandaigua Festival (Saturday)

Downtown Canandaigua will be full of family-friendly festivities including pumpkin decorating, a kids’ costume parade, a magic show, and a petting zoo.

The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pumpkin decorating begins at 11 a.m. in Commons Park. The parade will line up at Commons Park at noon and will go throughout downtown, with participants handing out candy.

The Amazing Magic Joe Show begins at 11 a.m. at The Maxion Stage. There will also be nonprofits set up along downtown Main Street with activities. You can see a complete schedule for the festival here.

Fall Festival at Long Acre Farms (Saturday)

Saturday is the final day of the annual Fall Festival at Long Acre Farms in Macedon. The festival includes the Amazing Maize Maze, New York’s longest-running corn maze.

The five-acre maze has clues along the way and the average time to finish it is 60 minutes. There are also wagon rides, cow train rides, and a variety of food options. You can get tickets here. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the last entry into the maze is at 4 p.m. The Fall Festival began on Sept. 21.

Harvest Fest at Stokoe Farms (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Stokoe Farms in Scottsville is holding its Harvest Festival through Sunday with over 40 activities including a hayride and pumpkin picking.

Other activities include a ropes course, zip line, a Peanut’s 75th-anniversary corn maze, a bounce pillow, a candy cannon, a dog agility show, and more. The activities run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. It runs from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. You can get tickets here.

The farm is at 656 South Road. Guests must buy separate tickets for the private animal encounters and the canine spectacular dog show. The festival began on Sept. 21.

Halloween at the Rochester Public Market (Sunday)

Kids can wear their costumes and trick-or-treat on Sunday at the Rochester Public Market. The market will not only be full of candy but also family-focused nonprofits giving out information on their services.

There will also be spooky arts and crafts, interactive activities, and live entertainment. It runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Sunday Football Block Party (Sunday)

The East and Alex Association is hosting a Bills block party for the Bills-Seahawks matchup in Rochester’s East End. The party kicks off at noon on Sunday and will include music, food, and TVs outside for fans to catch the game around East Avenue and Alexander Street.

Proceeds from the party will benefit local nonprofits and $1 from every ticket will go toward Wilmot Cancer Institute. Tickets are available this link. General admission costs $3 and the party is open to all ages.

If you aren’t a Bills fan, there will be other 1 p.m. games shown on the TVs outdoors. The Bills game will kick off at 4:05 p.m. The party runs from noon to 9 p.m.
