Steelers pick up Aquinas grad Jamir Jones

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Former Aquinas Institute football star Jamir Jones is headed to the Steel City after the Pittsburgh Steelers claimed him off waivers.

Jones was waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday.

The linebacker played in 15 NFL games last season – 2 with the Jags, 3 with the Steelers, and 10 with the Los Angeles Rams. He made 10 tackles throughout the season and made one start with Pittsburgh.

This is Jamir Jones’ third NFL season.
