NY AG files motion to compel company to share information in Trump Org civil investigation

NEW YORK (WHEC) — New York Attorney General Letitia James said a real estate company that did work for the Trump Organization is refusing to comply with subpoenas.

James Friday filed a motion, attempting to compel the company, Cushman & Wakefield, to provide information related to its appraisals of three Trump-owned properties: the Seven Springs Estate, Trump National Golf Club, Los Angeles, and 40 Wall Street.

It’s all part of the AG’s civil investigation into Donald Trump’s business dealings.

James said the appraisals are relevant to their case. James alleges Cushman & Wakefield’s appraisal of 40 Wall Street was used by the Trump Organization to secure a loan, and that its appraisals of Seven Springs Estate and Trump National Golf Club, Los Angeles were involved in what James called misleading valuations of conservation easements used to obtain tax deductions.

This comes after James filed a motion of contempt against Trump himself Thursday, alleging he refused to comply with a subpoena in the same investigation.
