Seneca Park Zoo names new superintendent

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Seneca Park Zoo named a new superintendent. who has 25 years of animal care experience.

Monroe County made the announcement Monday. Bob Lee will take on the role after serving as the Director of Animal Care for the Smithsonian National Zoos and Conservation Biology Institute.

“I look forward to building on this incredible legacy, collaborating with the community to expand opportunities for connection, learning, and meaningful impact” said Lee.

“Bob’s extensive record in zoo management and animal care, and passion for research and conservation are what make him a perfect fit for Seneca Park Zoo as we continue to grow and evolve,” said County Executive Adam Bello.

The zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from now until March 31. The temps may be low, but spirits are high – with tons of family fun events this season.
