Shooting and stabbing in Rochester on Friday morning leaves two hospitalized

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Police Department is investigating after a 34-year-old man showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound. A 27-year-old man also showed up on Friday morning with a stab wound.
Both victims are expected to survive.
RPD determined that the shooting happened near the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Frost Avenue. The officers responded to Strong Hospital at around 1 a.m. after hearing about the city resident being treated for a gunshot wound to the lower body.
At around 12:30 a.m., officers arrived at Strong Hospital after hearing about a man with an upper body stab injury. Police determined that the stabbing happened near Cunningham Street and Troup Street.
For both incidents, there are no suspects in custody. Police said there was a fight at the scene of both incidents.
