ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Dozens of people came together on Saturday to walk and fight to find a cure for ALS. The walk was held at Ontario Beach Park.

People living with ALS, family members, caregivers, and community members all came out to raise money for a great cause. The event was organized by the Upstate Chapter of the ALS Association, which serves hundreds of people across 48 counties.

“As of a few minutes ago, we raised over $200,000 for the Rochester “Walk to Defeat ALS.” That’s actually pre-pandemic levels, we are thrilled to be back and able to do that,” said Liz Krisanda, Executive Director, ALS Association, Upstate NY Chapter.
