Mary Cariola Center hosts “Walking on Sunshine” to raise money for programs and services

PENFIELD, N.Y. – Dozens of people walked to support children with disabilities at the 14th Annual “Walking on Sunshine” walk. It’s Mary Cariola Center’s largest fundraiser of the year, which helps to support 450 people with multiple disabilities.
Activities included a raffle and family fun at the park, an appearance from The Happy Pirates, fundraising incentives, and a celebration lunch.
“What’s really fun is I get to see the kids but then the kids get to introduce me to their family. I know the students, the residents, but then I think who brought you today? So then it’s just delightful that people are connecting,” said Karen Zandi, President and CEO Mary Cariola Center.
