ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) – Some nice weather on the way today with sunshine this morning and then a few increasing clouds for the afternoon. Temps a little cooler today in the 40s. Dry weather this evening.

Precipitation arrives tomorrow. Initially, it may be cold enough for a little light icy mix in the morning before temps warm above freezing and just rain showers into Wednesday afternoon.

Any snow and ice looks light and should not have a big impact on travel so our Threat Tracker will remain green. We may see a downpour with a rumble of thunder tomorrow night as the warm front moves through but no severe weather is expected.

Behind that front, temps will turn noticeably warmer Thursday in the 50s to near 60 with mainly dry weather. Showers return Friday. A cold front arrives on Saturday with wind and rain and snow. Behind that front, temps fall into the 20s and 30s on Sunday with snow showers likely and perhaps some minor accumulations.

Stay tuned for updates on the mixed precipitation and the threat of weekend snow on News10NBC.
