ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — A Monroe County ambulance company has donated two of its ambulances to Ukraine, Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announced Monday.

Finger Lakes Emergency Medical Services made the latest donation. AMR and Monroe Ambulance have also donated three ambulances, for a total of five donated ambulances from Monroe County.

Monroe County fire departments and ambulance agencies have provided donations to Ukraine all this month, including 150 sets of firefighter turnout kits.

County residents have also filled more than 50 bins at DMV offices with donations to help people affected by the Russian invasion

“The donations from our local ambulance agencies, fire departments and neighbors exemplify what Monroe County is all about – helping those in need,” Bello said.
