The Gates Fire District is sending firefighting gear to Ukraine

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — The Gates Fire District is sending protective firefighting gear to Ukraine. The fire district delivered the supplies to ROC Maidan, a Rochester-based organization for providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The supplies include 35 sets of fire-resistant clothing that expired under U.S. standards but still provides protection. Many fire and emergency medical service departments in Monroe County have donated goods to Ukraine.
ROC Maidan is accepting donations that go toward humanitarian efforts for war in Ukraine.
