1 dead after serious crash on Whittlesey Street in Rochester
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — One person is dead after a serious crash in Rochester Sunday afternoon.
Rochester Police responded to Whittlesey Street Sunday, near the corner of Seward Street on the west side of the Genesee River south of the Corn Hill area. At least five ambulances also responded to the scene, and paramedics performed chest compressions on at least one person.

Police say they noticed a stolen car in the area of Jefferson Avenue, the car sped off and slammed into another car at the intersection of Whittlesley Alley and Seward Street. Two people were in that car, police confirmed Sunday night that one of them died and the other is in critical condition.
Four people were inside the stolen car, all of them in their teens or early 20’s. One of them is in critical condition, the others are listed as stable. No charges have been filed yet.
