13-year-old boy hit by car on Monroe Ave

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – A 13-year-old boy is recovering from critical injuries after he was hit by a car on Saturday.

The incident happened on the 960 block of Monroe Avenue. Police say that the boy hit had run out in front of a vehicle and did not have the right of way.

The boy was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with what were deemed critical but non-life-threatening injuries.

While dealing with this scene another individual was arrested on mental hygiene while officers were attending to the boy who had been struck.

There are no charges at this time.
