16 teams competing for trophy in Little League World Series

WILLIAMSPORT, Penn. (WHEC) — Sports in its purest form is back as the Little League World Series continued its second day Friday.
Penfield hosted the state championships this year.
From there, the winning team, Colonie Little League, in the Capital Region, went on to Connecticut for regionals.
The world series started in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Thursday.
New York’s team did not make it that far.
Sixteen teams are left competing for the trophy.
