16-year-old hospitalized after shooting on Dewey Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester police said a 16-year-old is in the hospital after he was shot on Dewey Avenue on Thursday.
RPD responded to reports of a teenage boy shot on the 1500 block of Dewey Avenue at around 4:15 a.m. An ambulance took the teen to Strong Hospital where he is being treated for at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.
The teen is expected to survive. There are no suspects in custody and the shooting is being investigated. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
