2 arrested after Cady Street shooting that left man in critical condition, only 1 charged in shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police have arrested two people in connection to a shooting that happened on Cady Street on Saturday, Dec. 4, though only one of them is charged in the shooting.

The victim, a 31-year-old man, was in critical condition when he was taken to the hospital.

Rochester Police say they identified Johnny Jackson, 28, of Gates, and Alexis Frost, 19, of Rochester as suspects during their investigation.

Then, on Thursday at around 11:30 p.m., police say they saw the two of them in a vehicle on the 500 block of Lyell Avenue. They called in more officers and stopped the vehicle at around the 1100 block of Lyell Avenue to arrest them.

Jackson was charged with two counts of second degree assault, three counts of first degree burglary, two counts of second degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count of third degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of first degree reckless endangerment.

Police say he is currently on probation for a third degree criminal possession conviction.

Frost was charged with three counts of first degree burglary and one count of fourth degree conspiracy.
