2 men arrested for carjacking on Rochester’s north side Tuesday night

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police have two suspects in custody after a carjacking on North Clinton Avenue Tuesday night.

Police say at around 11:15 p.m. on the 1300 block of North Clinton Avenue, a man was opening his car door when another man approached him from behind and stole the car.

The victim was not injured according to the police.

About an hour later, police found the stolen car near Lyell Avenue and North Plymouth Avenue and arrested two suspects.

Police say they charged a 31-year-old Rochester man with second degree robbery and fourth degree grand larceny and a 34-year-old Rochester man with third degree unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Police have not released their names yet.
