2 window washers rescued from Innovation Square Building
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Two window washers were stuck halfway down the Innovation Square Building on Friday.
The Rochester Fire Department says that the movable platform they were using was not working so they could not get down.
The window washers were stuck about 160 feet up for about 3 hours.
The first company on location took about 3 minutes to arrive and were able to make contact with the two window washers and found that they were not injured.
RFD was able to gain access to an apartment where the platform was stuck. They removed the window and sent a rescuer out to assist the window washers into the apartment.
The apartment was turned over to building maintenance for repair.
No one was injured during the incident.
