4 more free at-home rapid COVID-19 tests available for Americans to order
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Americans can order four more free, at-home rapid COVID-19 antigen tests.
This comes after it was announced that nearly half of the 500 million free COVID-19 tests made available to Americans were left unclaimed as of the end of February.
The program is run in partnership with the U.S. Postal Service and began in December when concerns about the omicron variant began to rise. Though, many in the Rochester area were reporting to News10NBC in early February that they still hadn’t received the tests they ordered.
A message on the website advises those who previously ordered tests to “check back later to place a second order.”
Households that already received tests during the first round of orders are eligible to receive another shipment of four tests.
