41-year-old man shot on Melrose Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police say that a 41-year-old man was shot on Melrose Street Tuesday afternoon.

Officers say the incident happened around 12:45 p.m. while the man was walking down Melrose Street. He was transported to the hospital with what police said were initially life-threatening injuries. His condition improved, police said and his condition was upgraded to non-life threatening.

There are currently no suspects in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 311.
