ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Students will be able to get in the ring on Friday for the 90th year of the famed Mission Bouts at the Aquinas Institute.
Last year, alumni kept the tradition alive because COVID-19 didn’t allow for a boxing team.
Aquinas is one of the only schools in the country to offer boxing for both boys and girls.
The fights in the Wegmans-Napier Gymnasium begin at 7 p.m. Friday.
The school is excited to welcome former WBA lightweight champion, Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini to give students some encouragement and insight.
