Adult and child hurt in hit and run on Dewey & Magee

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — An adult and a child are hurt after a hit and run on Dewey Avenue near Magee Avenue Wednesday night.
The Rochester Police Department got the call a little before 9:30 p.m.
Emergency services took the two victims, an 8-year-old boy and a 23-year-old woman to Strong Hospital. The boy’s injuries were originally considered life-threatening, but hospital staff has downgraded them to non-life-threatening. The woman is also expected to survive.
RPD said that their investigators are looking for video that could help them to get a description of the vehicle that struck. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
