Al Sigl celebrates 60 years of helping those with special needs

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – In honor of their 60th anniversary, Al Sigl Community hosted an afternoon of inclusive fun for all ages and abilities. There was food, family-friendly entertainment, and interactive displays highlighting Al Sigl’s mission.

Known today as Al Sigl Community of Agencies, the nonprofit collaborative encompasses nineteen buildings on six campuses. Al Sigl Member Agencies have grown from serving 3,000 to serving over 55,000 children and adults with special needs and their families each year.

State and local officials helped to kick off the celebration.

Al Sigl Member Agencies include CP Rochester; EPI; Medical Motor Service; National MS Society Upstate NY; Rochester Hearing & Speech Center; Rochester Rehabilitation; and Starbridge.
